千鳥ヶ淵戦没者墓苑 御製の碑

　あゆみきて

　　　あもひいづ

　かのかたきひを

　いきしひとびと

この碑は終戦60周年を迎えるにあたり、新春「歌会始の儀」で詠まれた今上陛下の御製を、常陸宮妃殿下が謹書され、平成17年（2005）9月27日竣工したものです。

"Having walked through times when there was no such great war,My thoughts go out to the people who had lived through those days of cruel hardship."

　　いのちささげし

　ひとびとの

　　ことをおもへば

　むねせまりくる


この碑は墓苑創建の年の秋、昭和天皇陛下から下腸された御製を秩父宮妃殿下が謹書され、昭和35年（1960）3月28日に竣工したものです。
